Last Sunday, we considered again the biblical term propitiation. It’s a hard one to get our minds around. Here’s a helpful definition, as you meditate on this Gospel this week, my Paramount family! “The doctrine of propitiation is precisely this: That God loved the objects of His wrath so. much that He gave His own Son to the end that He by His blood should make provision for the removal of HIs wrath. It was Christ’s so to deal with the wrath that the loved would no longer be the objects of wrath, and love would achieve its aim of making the children of wrath the children of God’s good […]

Church-Wide Update

Dear Paramount Church – Your pastors love you and hope you are staying healthy in body and strong in spirit. We could not be happier about the ways you — the Church — has responded to the current crisis. Countless stories of generosity, concern, prayer, and care brighten this difficult time. We are grateful for common grace tools like Facebook and Zoom, which allow us to stay in touch far better than we would without them. Thank you for remaining diligent to participate in the life and ministries of our church. The pandemic brings major challenges and tests, and our gospel-focused response is imperative. Good Friday and Easter Services Update […]

Help Identify People in Need

The City of Bexley would appreciate your help in identifying those in need and willing volunteers during this COVID-19 crisis. If you are a Bexley resident, and are in need of assistance or are able to provide aid, please fill out the applicable survey. Furthermore, please assist Bexley residents in completing the appropriate survey if they are unable to do so independently. Those who have already filled out the survey do not need to do so again. These surveys will also be available on Bexley’s website, social media, and included in the quarterly newsletter. For questions or concerns, please contact the City’s Volunteer Coordinator at (614) 559-4200 or    […]

COVID-19 Update #4

Dear Paramount Church – Thank you for keeping current with these frequent updates. By the common grace of technology, we enjoyed a unique time of worship. Thank you to all who worked so hard to make this possible for our small church. It is important that we receive every opportunity to keep up with church life in this strange time. Our preference is always to gather in-person, but for the near future we’ll stream our worship services online. Please be diligent to join us on Sunday mornings. We believe the Lord is pleased by our efforts. The state of things is slightly different every day, and our response has required adjustment almost as often. […]

COVID-19 Update #3

Dear Paramount Church Family and Friends – Following updates from our local health directors, and further discussion among the pastors and leaders of our church, we’ve decided to adjust plans for worship. Tomorrow morning, Paramount church will suspend all Sunday morning activities, except for a live stream of our worship service. Thus, everyone will stay home and join together via live stream at 10:30 am, on the Paramount Church Facebook page. The church building will be closed to everyone except those leading the service. The elders encourage you to make this a unique and memorable occasion, in which we make the most of a challenging situation in our church. The gospel is […]

COVID-19 Update #2

Good Morning, Paramount Church People and Friends. As we closely monitor the impact of COVID-19 on our local communities, we will make appropriate adjustments to our church activities. As of now, all Sunday activities — Adult Bible Fellowship, Youth Bible Fellowship, Children’s Ministry, and the normal corporate worship gathering — will remain as normal, with one adjustment. Starting this Sunday, we will begin live streaming worship services through YouTube, to benefit anyone who chooses not to attend amid our current health concerns. If the present situation deteriorates, more adjustments will be determined and announced promptly. Under these circumstances, we wish to clearly state our love, support, and understanding to anyone who deems it necessary to stay home […]

COVID-19 Update

Dear Paramount Church Members and Friends – On behalf of the elders and leadership, here is a quick update for the church in light of COVID-19. At this point, worship and normal activities/ministries remain on schedule for the coming weeks. We are carefully monitoring the situation and will inform our congregation of any changes which may impact us. Please be sensitive to others by observing normal public hygiene. Please wash your hands thoroughly and regularly, cough into your sleeve and not your hands, and greet each other with alternate forms of the traditional handshake or hug. Over the next few Sundays, we will take additional efforts to sanitize common surfaces […]
